I Had Covid Over the Weekend

I’ve been out of commission for almost a week, and I’m not going to lie, it’s been weird…Really weird considering it’s been over two years since the last time I was sick.

Yes. I have lived for the last two years through a deadly pandemic and never even got so much as the sniffles.

I also never wear a mask, don’t use hand sanitizer, and eat snacks while I’m shopping. It’s a miracle I’m still alive.

I was starting to think I was immune to Covid for a minute, but alas, Omicron reared her ugly head in my direction.

Only, she wasn’t very ugly. Just a little misunderstood.

Sure, my head hurt and my body ached, but it was nothing I couldn’t handle.

My husband, on the other hand, has been having a rougher go of it. Will he live? Yes.

Have there been other people who are not so lucky? Yes. I want to preface any of my opinions about my experience with Covid, by saying, I’m not trying to be insensitive to anyone who has lost a loved one to Covid.

I’m really sorry to anyone who has lost someone during this time. It has been excruciating for so many.
