Here’s what I learned.

Last month, I wanted to push myself the last week of the month to put out as many articles as possible.

I set a goal to publish two articles per day until the end of the month.

My logic was simple: Build momentum for the next month and reinforce my daily writing habit.

I reasoned that if I could push myself for one week to put out two articles per day, then publishing one article per day after the challenge was over would feel like a breeze.

The Outcome

I published two articles per day for two consecutive days before I fell off the wagon.

I did not complete my challenge.

That’s not to say I quit writing. I just didn’t publish anything after the third day.

Am I disappointed in myself?

Of course, I am.

Am I going to let it stop me from getting back up, dusting myself off, and trying again?

Nope. I am far too stubborn for that kind of thinking.

Why did I fail?

I failed because I put unrealistic expectations on myself and those made it far too easy for me to just stop when producing content…
